Here's what changed with the new and improved formula:
With a new supplier and format for our vitamin C (sodium ascorbyl phosphate), we were able to triple the percentage of vitamin C in the formula for improved benefits!
We updated the preservative to one that is upcycled (for lower impact on the environment) and made through a fermentation process.
We added a very low percentage of citric acid to help calibrate the pH level. This level of citric acid does not impart any exfoliating properties to the product.
Key Ingredients + Why They Work

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C) is a stable, water-soluble derivative of Vitamin C that does not oxidize easily. When applied to the skin, Sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP, for short) reacts with enzymes in the skin and turns into ascorbic acid. For this reason, just like pure vitamin C, SAP functions as an antioxidant and can have brightening, wrinkle-smoothing, skin-firming and clarifying properties.
When SAP is mixed with niacinamide, magic happens, which is especially beneficial for oily/acne-prone skin. Their anti-inflammatory, antiaging, and sebum regulating properties of this duo can accelerate the healing process of breakouts, resulting in smoother and clearer skin. Our SAP (vitamin C) is vegan.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) helps improve skin hydration, texture and elasticity, offers antioxidant benefits and helps clarify the complexion. Our niacinamide is vegan.
Green Tea Extract is one of the most versatile and powerful skincare ingredients available. It offers antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help ward off skin damage, prevent premature aging and calm irritated skin. It can also help reduce sebum production, prevent breakouts and is even suitable for the most sensitive of skin. One of our favorite botanicals, this is one of the "secret" ingredients that makes this mist work so well. Our green tea extract is produced in-house from certified organic green tea leaves.
Neroli (orange blossom) Hydrosol is distilled from the flower of the bitter orange tree. A beautifully fragrant flower, neroli’s amazing aroma has been shown to uplift one’s mood and reduce anxiety. This floral water is hydrating, antibacterial, and contains antioxidants to help reduce the signs of aging. Our neroli hydrosol is certified organic.
Immortelle Hydrosol is distilled from a small yellow flower called helichrysum, which is also known as immortelle or everlasting because the blooms never wilt! The flower has properties that can help heal and regenerate damaged skin. As a hydrosol, immortelle works as an astringent, a skin tonic, an anti-inflammatory, and can improve circulation. Our immortelle hydrosol is certified organic.
Musa sapientum (banana) leaf/trunk extract is a 100% plant derived preservative produced through a fermentation process. Made from upcycled banana tree leaves and trunk, this preservative helps reduce waste. Beyond being an effective preservative, it is also rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, glycosides and terpenoids.
